Founded in 1935, the Louisiana State University Press is a nonprofit book publisher dedicated to the publication of scholarly, general interest, and regional books.
I hope John Maxwell Hamilton book is not a little too much, too late. American foreign reporting, as well as journalism in general, and taken a bad hit the last decade. Unlike others I still believe that journalism's golden-era has yet taken place in the U.S. Hamiltons' book will serve as a historical instrument for future journalistic endeavors. Without people like John Maxwell Hamilton, who provocate the future of journalism by studing its past, democracy would be heading for the trash bin of history.
